The southern corn rootworm is located throughout areas east of the Rocky Mountains. The regions occupied by SCR extend from southern Canada south to Mexico. However, SCR is most destructive in the southern states of the U.S. (FIG. 1) The western corn rootworm (WCR) is located mainly east of the Rocky Mountains to the east coast and from Tennessee, north to the Canadian border. (FIG. 2) The northern corn rootworm (NCR) can be found in states east of Colorado and from Tennessee north to the Canadian border. (FIG. 3)
